Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition
ADOS
At ROGUE, we offer the gold standard in autism diagnosis with the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), administered by our experienced and ADOS-trained BCBA professionals. The ADOS is a highly reliable, structured assessment used to observe and evaluate your child’s social and communication skills in a variety of situations. This in-depth assessment provides valuable insights, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of your child’s unique strengths and challenges. With ROGUE’s expertise and personalized approach, we’re committed to providing you with the highest quality, evidence-based support.
ROGUE ABA does not diagnose but results from the ADOS assessment are used by your medical doctor to diagnose ASD. ROGUE ABA will collaborate with your medical doctor, prepare the required documentation, and write a custom report for the disciplinary team to review.
During an ADOS assessment at ROGUE, your child will engage in structured activities designed to observe social, communication, and behavioral skills. Conducted by a trained BCBA, the assessment includes tasks like conversation, play, and problem-solving, tailored to your child’s developmental level. The goal is to observe natural interactions, not to "test" your child, making the experience comfortable and engaging.
The assessment typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, with parental input included for a comprehensive understanding of your child’s needs. Afterward, the BCBA will provide a detailed report to guide treatment plans and potential diagnoses. At ROGUE, we deliver this gold-standard assessment with expertise and care to support your child’s growth.
